I like the support one and the interpolate one, the link says he deleted the page?
Also are there any HUD mods/scripts?

Here are the scripts I run: http://tribes.m-parsons.com/Scripts/TerrorToesPack/Base/

You can find all sorts of HUDs out there and skins as well. There have been 1,300+ *player* skins used on Goon Haven since we started tracking them.

Hey, nice to have you. T2 is a great game (probably the greatest but that might be T1 in the old days).

If you ever have questions or comments on Goon Haven, there are forums here:
http://www.goonhaven.org/
and stats here:
http://t2stats.m-parsons.com/

And here is a sort of beginner's guide:

There's an active competition community at TWL (see Fling's link above) and those guys all hang out on IRC. You can usually get some pretty good help/advice there if you mention that you're new and are prepared to take a little teasing from time to time.

There is a public Classic server (Goon Haven) and Classic ladder/league competition at TWL.

It's an MMO first and an FPS second (or possibly even further away than that). It's not trying to be Tribes 3, it's trying to be an MMO. As far as I'm concerned, it can be as similar to Tribes 1/2 as World of Warcraft is to Warcraft 1/2/3. I already had a bunch of ideas on how Tribes should work in an MMO-type world that would please literally every existing fan of Tribes as well as modern gamers in multiple genres. Let's just hope that HiRez has someone like me.

Let's hope not.

In any case, I've been following along, and at first glance it looks like a worthy successor.  We'll have to wait and see if it delivers.
How do you have to wait and see if you've really been following along? The periodically post threads saying "LOLOLOL WE ARE KILLING EVERYTHING GOOD ABOUT TRIBES LOLOLOLOLOL".

Are you illiterate?

Dr. Horrible summed it up.

By spamming nades/mines & GL under the belly of the MPB, a single player can take it down in a matter of seconds. A lone shrike can do the same. Out in the field it stands no chance without a couple defenders, which are probably better used elsewhere.

Also, everything he said about defense / rape.

RedShifter is also very modest. Another great admin quality!

I'm sure he'll continue the MV legacy and hold to the same standards as always!

I would like to nominate RedShifter.

He is a great lover of variant and long-time MV enthusiast.

I think he's the perfect candidate for the job.

Were people playing Tribes positions?
* Like light defense, heavy offense, etc?

If so, how did they play with the 2 weapon loadouts?
9  TribesNext.com Forums / General Discussion / Re: 12 vs. 12 Tournament (T2 - GET SOME) on: August 04, 2011, 02:19:01 PM
? No.

havent played in about a year, would love to join but if the matches are held at US time then i cant. not gonna stay awake all night to play.

They are held Eastern Time (US) and some Euros / Aussies play I think.

If you guys have questions, the TWL thread will give you a better response.
10  TribesNext.com Forums / General Discussion / Re: What is the aimbot? on: August 04, 2011, 02:16:44 PM
Usually "aim botters" are people that have dedicated way too much of their lives to playing Tribes.

They're better than aim bots.

You don't need or want one (since we'll ban you when we catch you). If you think you've found someone with one, you can post the demo for review.

That is given out per request in #lastgasp, usually for pubs but especially by teams.

You'll end up building up a list of the different servers just by hanging around.

I need a community.  I need to feel like I'm playing with people and not bots.

Don't get me wrong, the game is tons of fun.  Nothing compares to it gameplay wise.  But there are no Team Speaks to hang out in.  There is no Vent.  There isn't even in game voice chat.  The forums have some trolls that ruin the experience.

Sad

I posted the solution to this problem earlier: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php/topic,2859.0.html join up, hang out on TS3/vent and IRC. There is a close-knit community still.
