Unhandled Exception when joining any server. I've gone through the sticky about them and none of it seems to work. I try to join a server and it crashes the game almost every time. I managed to get into one server full of bots but i can't remember which one. Regardless, I played this game years ago and want back in, but I really can't. Help?

A dso cleaner may be what you need, if a bad dso is causing grief.

I already told you I went through that sticky and nothing worked.

The DSO cleaner didn't really work. I popped it in, tried connecting to snap crackle pub, and got the message about my IP address. Then tried joining again, unhandled exception.

An exception that occurs after displaying an error about your IP address is generally caused by an inability to determine your address with the listing server (or a configuration on the individual game server, depending on the specific message).  Generally this is caused by either software blocking your connection, or part of your networking configuration affecting address detection and incorrect values being reported to the server.

The FAQ entry you'll want to try for making sure your IP address is set can be found here:

In particular, you'll want to refer to the last section of that comment.  You may also want to type echo($IPv4::InetAddress); into your console prior to updating the value if you're unsure if it is currently set.

Try the game in 32bit opengl instead of 16bit d3d.
Also enable $pref::OpenGL::allowTexGen = "0"; by changing the 0 to 1 and see if that helps.
