• Ati has antialiasing issues with t2, and may cause other oddities in the game. And yeah the 9800 is a slight core improvement to the 8800 series, but lacks the wider memory bus, thusly the similar or even reduced performance.

• I run a 8800gts 320mb (oc'd to 600 core, 900 mem) in the same motherboard as the op's. Runs great, isn't as taxing on the psu as a full 8800 (or 9800 or higher card) is. I got it used for $40 and traded the guy a dvdrom. If it's good but used, don't turn your nose up on it. Newer cards like the 9800 have a narrower memory…

• I like an ak in 5.45mm, ak for cheap reliability, the 5.45 round exhibits a pronounced tumbling effect as its cg changes after impact. Pops in your front, might exit out your side, spins longways as it decides what organs to keyhole as it exits. And the G17, 9mm perfection. Oh you meant in Tribes2... ok I like the laser…

• An update channel needs to be secure for one, and for two I think it's reasonable to include the Dynamix final map pack in all installs. The rest (scripts. maps, etc) should be left up to the client, perhaps selectable via a menu from the autodownloader.
