• Did he have high ping? Did he have an energy pack? ;) The server handles jet variables like that. I don't think infinite jet hacking is possible unless the server owners let you have back door.

• Some of it needs to be executed in order to patch. I don't think an FTP server will allow you to extract an exe and run it. UPDATE :: If you're hosting off of Branzone or a Tribes 2 hosting service, ask them if they support the TribesNext patch. If they do, ask them to install it for you.

• You may only create an account in-game only. You shouldn't have to forward any ports. Just make sure your personal firewall isn't blocking the program and that you have a good internet connection.

• If the IP is 192.160... then, nobody else can see it most likely. You need to forward a port on your router and tell Tribes 2 to host on that port.
