It is indeed against the rules.
-
Ok, try this: Open up My Computer... Go to Tools -> Folder options Click on the "View" tab Make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked. Click ok. See if the file extension of the skin pack is .vl2
-
Right click on the file and select Properties and look at file type.
-
Sure, as long as the file's extension is .vl2.
-
Moved to Server Support.
-
The skin file you downloaded may have come in a .vl2 file. If it has, then all you have to do is move it to your "Dynamix/Gamedata/base" folder.
-
Just want to point out that games today still provide a method similar if not exactly the same to that for in-game recording of demos. You're supposed to use a program like VirtualDub to string the screenshots + audio together. It works very well.
-
If you have a vl2, just drop it in your base folder.
-
You need to give us more details. What error message are you getting?
-
Angry Black Man... now THAT'S a name a recognize.

TCmini-client.cs is not required to run an SI server. It's meant to add additional binds and functions for construction on the clientside.

Shocklance Dangerous Crossing or Rollercoaster?

If you are getting an Unhandled Exception about 15 seconds after launching online, you might be able to fix this UE by downloading the new IRC client.

Linker! :D

What happened to all the Renegades players that lurked on these forums? I'd like to play a little for old times' sake.

Thread is dead.

You cannot change it during gameplay. Your voicepitch is specified when you connect.
-
Poof! Off-topic posts are gone!
-
Sounds like you need the Dynamix Final Mappack.

Moved to Mods and Customizations.

See this if you can't find any servers: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=469.0

In Classic, you can stick them on walls and ceilings, but you can't stick them on vehicles and people, unfortunately.
-
Your ClientPrefs.cs file is in your "Dynamix/Tribes2/GameData/base/prefs/" folder. Open it with a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad.

Hosting a construction server is pretty much like hosting a regular server. You just have to configure additional stuff depending on which version your hosting.
-
Try removing all custom scripts from your host directory. Custom GUIs make Tribes 2 dedicated servers UE.

Most of the pros you're talking about have been playing the game significantly longer than you have. There's nothing to feel bad about...
