But don't your tank and your driver still show up on the enemy CC, and won't the driver still have his IFF (unless of course you hop out and activate the pack)? Also can't turrets still shoot the tank while you're in it? It seems like maybe an ammo pack or something would be a better choice (so you can resupply your…

Cool! I didn't realize that boosting without holding an arrow key acted as an air brake. One question though...does having an sj pack as a gunner really do any good while you're inside the tank?

If you're interested in a Tribes-like game on a newer game engine, you could check this out. It's a team of modders attempting to build a Tribes-inspired game on CryEngine 2. They seem to be making decent progress, and it will probably be pretty cool if they ever finish it. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

One problem I see here is that the newest build of T2 is 25034--21570 is like the oldest version out there. It might be that when you try to apply the TribesNext patch to v.21570, it breaks the tribes2 executable. You could try patching your version up to the latest one and see if that helps.
