• killcount is zKillCapCounter.vl2 with the flag cap part stripped out. i rarely cap, so i dont need to keep track of em. but i do like to know how many heads ive blown off. its why i play the game. youd be better off just searcing through your scripts folder for keywords for the script you want and trying them out yourself.…

• man TN is picky about software firewalls. i resorted to just uninstalling the whole thing and reinforcing my routers firewall. and if your antivirus does packet checkin, try adding an exclusion for the game.

• naw you drop that cs file in your autoexec folder. when you start t2, look in the top right of your screen and there should be a button that says DTSView. click that and itll popup. you can resize it like a windows window, just grab the corner.

• the hit sounds are exclusive to classic. ive never been able to evven make it work in base or anything else. and Halide did make a kill sound script. search for this on slingscripts and youll see it: HalKillSound_vl2.zip you can change the sounds too.

• i hear ya Krash. ive been workin on it for a couple hours now and it works, i can login and get the server list. what specific ports does the patch need? i watched it and it went throught the whole 4000 block range, then it went to the 5000s.

• everybody (well not everybody) has that big ass skin pack already. i trimmed mine down to hold only the ones i like. and alot of those have been gettin corrupted, lotta chrome folks runnin around me lately. guess cuz i moved it from drive to drive too many times.

• found it! something in the fw, EVEN with it being disabled, EVEN down to the service level, was keeping it from talking to the auth server, so i wiped it all out. worked like a charm, got right on in and played two good matches. 30 kills and 2 caps and the night is young! i'll figure out what was the holdup and post it up…

• i figured that maybe it was the firewall too. right now, im WIIIIDE open. unhooked the router, disabled the software down to the service level. same thing. is there another version of the patch out there? a previous version that i could try?
