By the amount of comments, I think so. I'll have to change a few details so I don't collide with any specific Mech universe, and some things I won't be able to do (speed-based turning for instance) but it's a challenge I think I'll take on, seeing as I have half the code done for it already. It will have anywhere between 3…

^ did not know that :o Legions also has a visual indicator for that sort of thing doesn't it?

Garage Games is silliness.

No one has a complete knowledge of T2 API stuff since it was never written by the devs. All we have are TGE documentations which are close (but lack or have added some functionality that T2 does not have). If you wish to use that, you can go on http://garagegames.com and check out their TGE reference.

This is turning out promising I see. Though, if I were to do this... or get a team together for it, I can't exactly make a 1:1 copy, which thanks to the limitations of T2 and copyrights.
-
A little of both. I have some Mech-style code laying around from other projects and I enjoy mech combat from time to time, just curious if anyone else shared that.

Female armors do not have "smaller hitboxes" so to speak... their model is slightly smaller, but not enough to really make a difference in gameplay. The hitbox itself is the same size, but slightly shorter. There is no mass (weight) difference between any male/female armor, and any packs with weight on them are large packs…

There's only one person working on TSW, and that's me. I know where I'm going with it. Where are you getting that idea from?

I give you this simple illustration:

You're doing it wrong. It is possible to have 9 items on the inventory screen outside of clientside modifications, 10 if you wish to block the save button. There's no special tricks or tips to getting more than 5 weapons, the huds support up to 8 really, so I'm not sure what I can tell you. Try searching for every place…

scripts/turret.cs line 213: function TurretData::selectTarget(%this, %turret) Modify this function to your liking, or give your turret datablock it's own selectTarget() code.
-
It's funny because it's true. Regardless, I will admit I didn't read the original post very well.
-
Well... You gave a function that restores a lot more than just energy, the function setMaxEnergy() doesn't exist, you're missing a closing brace, you referenced the same object indirectly (%obj is assumed to be the player, but could be any object, therefore if the object is a StaticShape, this call would fail as the…
-
.... wow I'm not even going to comment on the above function. I'm kind of scared this question even came up. But regardless, a rough way to do this: %obj.setEnergyLevel(%obj.getDatablock().maxEnergy); I suggest using the Function Library for more useful functions: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=854.0

Well, a few facts: [#] Shifter is client-side, TSW is serverside. I designed that quad-winged shrike that was in Shifter because it was originally in Mechina, and if you go to the page you'll see that. Posted this download link to the first post as well, until the website comes back online.

Download for TSW v0.8.4 - temporary until the site comes back online
-
Did you even read the changelog I posted above?
-
I just made cappers faster, what are you complaining about?
-
EDIT: Changes posted on forums - temporary website outage fixed.
-
There really wasn't much in the way of drama actually. It didn't work out, so I moved on.
-
I'm sorry to see you're so uninformed about GarageGames. Remember how much T2 UEs? It only gets worse. As a license owner for both TGE and TGEA, I can safely say that the above is 100% false. You get exactly what you pay for in comparison to the price of other game engines (ex. Unreal). All "proven features" were community…

What's Tribes:AA?

That has nothing to do with that. Meltdown 2 has deployable beacons which create forcefields (Forcefield Array). There are several servers up if you wish to try it.

YouTube supports both H.264 and VP9 though, and while that is a target platform, eventually I will be hosting these videos myself on my own site. My question though, is moreso aimed at bitrates and resolutions rather than destination platforms. I do appreciate the commentary however.
-
Now, why would I want to go backwards in encoding formats?
-
I'd be willing to, but no one seems to want to join pickups anymore O.o I'd say it's on though, sure.
