• I would suggest you do a few things. The first is, pick one position and focus on it for awhile. Maybe the same with a certain weapon/loadout/pack. • I think the Dynamix Final Mappack was released on the "Best Seller Series" T2 disc, so only the original copies of the game lack it. It seems that if the owners of T2 didn't find it too arbitrary to include, it should probably make it into TN.

• I remember a server setup with 16 bots that auto-kicked the bots as players joined. The guy did some research and came to the conclusion his server filled up quicker when running the bots. However, that was a long time ago and now there aren't so many players, so players aren't looking for empty servers to start a new game.
