People already have a non-comp server, but with TD on. TD off is great for people that like to sit back and spam or satchel everything, but when the players affected by the spam (like cappers) realize there is a better alternative (servers with TD), they'll leave and then your mortar/satchel spammers will have nothing to…
-
The voting wasn't the problem. The problem was your teammates didn't like you (and decided to vote yes). Also, TD is great. If you remove TD it turns the game into a terrible spamfest. If you modify mines...well, that's basically asking for the same thing (maps covered in mine spam).

You must have missed my post right above yours. In case you just don't believe me, I'll provide you with a source: http://www.legionsplayers.com/articles/faq/

And I need to get my project finished...

Meltdown 2, but that's an old feud that you shouldn't have brought up here, as it has been a problem on Tribes forums for years, and there were already some posts here deleted (I think). In other news, there are some nice War2k3 players, like that Starfish guy (although he was doing the competing T2 auth system). =/

What admin mod are you using when you aren't using Evo?

Correction: Legends uses the Torque Game Engine (TGE). Ascension (by RenWerX) uses the Torque Game Engine Advanced (TGEA), the TGE replacement. Legions is built on GG's in-house version of TGEA. Legends has nice Tribes-like physics. I don't know about Legions. Ascension, well, I don't think there are many people that…

To find the proper file structure for any type of add-in, you can look in the default .vl2 files (textures, missions, scripts, sounds, etc) and just copy that structure yourself.
-
Yeah, I don't know why I was explaining that to you. I probably learned that from you. lol

I can't answer officially, but I believe they gave the TN developers a nod and then looked the other way.

There are still some old Renegades players around. I know some of the old teams like }p9{plan9 still lurk around the RenWerX site. However, I've never played Renegades myself, so when they go off ranting about it, I don't really understand what they're saying.

Pity bump for T2RPG & my Aussie friend. =D
-
Usually the z_name is to cause that .vl2 to load after some other .vl2 file. I'm not really sure about it in this case though.
-
Must things will come in an archive. The archives are .zip format but are named .vl2 Just drop them in your GameData/base folder (or if you only want them to be available when you start under different mods, put them in that mod's folder).

Uninstall cheats...skins will show up again.

I'd recommend Trillian if you are a Windows user and new to IRC. It is simpler than mIRC.

This is the only post anyone needs to read: I guarantee Mr. Keen knows more about this topic than anyone on these forums (unless Byteasc has registered here =P ). You can consider his answer authoritative.

Sweet. Thanks guys.

If you setup the servers, teams could "lease" them (I think there is some evo stuff to handle this) for practices. It would probably help improve the tournament.
-
So if you don't add exceptions (I'm not sure why you would?), is it easy enough that someone here could whip one up?
-
You can get the official and unofficial Renegades files here: http://renwerx.com/download.cgi?Game=Tribes%202

Being spiteful doesn't hurt the rude presenter.

Because EST is the most important time-zone. Also - a minor factor - the events are organized by Americans. We have pick-ups in the evenings because it is convenient for us.

The "oh no scripts/cheats" argument never comes from decent players. We can all be sure that microx wasn't good back in the day, and still isn't skilled, but he likes to blame it on other people cheating. Do I use scripts? Yep. HalChecker, a speed/alt HUD, flagTimer, and 30 favorites (instead of 20). Man, being able to tab…
