Looks pretty awesome so far.  One thing, though (I'm sure this would be possible, if it doesn't do it already, since you coded in the flag carrier stuff) - does it show enemy IFFs when they should be shown (without cheats), such as when they are standing next to a friendly pulse sensor, without any objects (other than fog) in between the observer and the enemy?

Well, the IP of your TS server would seem to imply that it's hosted by Branzone, and Bran certainly knows about/has used TS3.  I've talked to him about it.  I would guess that you could get TS3 on that server if you asked.  The voice quality is much better on TS3.

I'm curious... is the TAC pickup going to happen on Christmas?

Also, are you guys using TS3 yet?

The TAC mod does that (it's one of those mods where if you touch the ground, you die).  I think they have it set up so that if somebody damaged you within the last 15 seconds or something, the last person to have damaged you gets the kill.  Not sure how they went about it, though.

'nother one tonight?

I hope to be there.

EDIT: turns out I can't be there after all.

If you use AVG antivirus, simply turning it off may not work.  You will have to actually uninstall it and reinstall it without the "link scanner" that causes these problems.

At least, that's what does it when you can't see the servers.  I don't know if this might be something else, but you can still give it a shot.

Make sure you re-download when you reinstall.  That way you can ensure your download wasn't corrupted.

Spinfusor MAs, while they look cool, and are usually useful, are not really as effective as chaingun - as has been said before in this thread.  That's in classic CTF, by the way.  In Arena, although from an objective standpoint the same holds true, the structure and culture of arena is such that MAing people to death affords you much more respect than chaining them down all the time.  If you want to learn to MA, do it on arena servers - both because the gameplay is more rewarding for MAs, and because Arena is built off of Base, which is much easier to MA in.

LD/capper.  I generally flip back and forth between the two when pubbing; if our base has a lot of HO running around our base I'll be LD and kill them for a while.  Once the base is clear, I'll go back to capping.

That guy who you really wish would stop screwing around with an elf gun in medium armor and actually try doing something useful.

That, and occasionally HoF.

Have you read The Tribes 2 Annoying Bastard Guide, by any chance?

I dont even know if i have a position beacause i dont give a shit about the team,i only care for my points ,thats the reality

This is not the type of attitude that will make you well-liked in pubs.

Just saying.

I think I'm going to have to postpone this to next Saturday, as I can't find anyone to host the server.  So next Saturday.  I might change it to 8:00 PM as well.

Are you putting it in your GameData folder?

Try putting it in your Dynamix/Tribes2/GameData/base.  Might work.

I'm hoping to have it at the date/time specified, but the server appears to be down.  Is there anybody who can host a GTW server just for the night?  (I can get you the server files.)

We're trying to get GTW active again.  Keen is talking about rebuilding the mod from scratch - I don't if it's going to happen, but at any rate I'm going to try and have a pickup at 7:30 PM Eastern this Saturday (the 10th) on the MaxOGC GTW 1.8.1 server (if it's back up by then, which I don't know that it will be).  If the server isn't up, then I guess we're not having a pickup.

Anyway, be there if you can!

That's what this Saturday is for. 7:30 PM eastern.  Be there! Smiley
