a different ue

okay so my firend i'm trying to get tribes2 working on his comp, we've updated his video card drivers and tried all the other troubleshooting steps. but we cant even get the game to open up without getting that UE error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Be as verbose as possible. It is impossible to diagnose any errors with little or no information. Some standard things to provide, depending on the error, would be the latest version of the patch you've installed, certain system specs, any other scripts you have installed.
    More info (System specs, OS, clean install or some scripts, etc) would be appreciated.

    Is your friends install patched with TribesNext?

    we already tried all those steps, and its a clean install with no scripts, with the patch. we also tried without the patch and it wouldn't even open.

    specs

    Windows XP
    ATI Radeon 9800
    AMD Athlon 64 processor 2800+
    1.80 GHz, 1.75 GB RAM

    Try the cat 5.11 drivers for the ati card.
