    ...modem? Really? Wow. Oh, Google tells me you meant a DSL modem. Don't scare me like that. Anyway, it could be one of a hundred things. Have you tried calling up your ISP? Google also informs me that the modem might have an overheating problem. See if it has vents on it, feel it up and see how hot it is, try putting it in a colder place, etc.
  • Google "random DSL modem disconnects"? Could maybe be a recurring problem with your ISP that you're just getting in on?

    Maybe the amount of traffic that T2 generates breaks i]something[/i along the way? Could still call up your ISP and ask what the cause of the problem could be (never mind the solution, that's what Google is for).

    And only resort to percussive maintenance when you have a replacement handy.
