Okay, so then we first need a concerted effort to get EVERYONE to create accounts on Digg. iirc, It's best to have pre-existing accounts, and at least *some* activity "digging" other articles, before we push the TribesNext article, so it isn't seen as what-it-is, a concerted effort :-)
It would be ideal if a forum admin could request all forum members to create accounts with Digg, with intentions of using those accounts in a week or so to digg an article on TribesNext
Also, once we have the article up, we can push it on all the other tribes websites, and encourage them to digg it as well.
Additionally, as long as the TribesNext patch works 100% on Linux, that would be a very good community to have behind us as well, as almost anyone I know that is into Linux, is a huge fan of tribes.
I know I picked this up from the Penny-Arcade post a month back. You guys know those two are very, very fond of Tribes. I might be able to ask them to mention it again on the site.
If anyone is interested, here are some amateurishly photoshopped TribesNext forum sigs I made to promote TN on other forums. Feel free to link to them on my photobucket account or host them somewhere yourself.
(I guess technically I should ask permission to use the TN logo. If anyone has a problem with these, tell me and I will delete my post. Or you could just delete it yourself )
