Hi You have a connectivity issue, resolve it.

You need to make sure you have internet access to the port in question. if you have a firewall or router inline you need to open ports or a port for this access or the server will crash. Even in a lan or offline server the server for some reason wants to see a net connection. I have often seen it in routers that when you…

As to tuning of an MS os used for a T2 or any other server, there is one setting that that is most usefull. This setting gives equal and longer timeslices of cpu time to the background apps (network activity, disk access) rather than forgorund activity (what is going on on the screen such as games and so on) and thusly the…

T2 server takes around 50 megs ram so it is easily covered by most system, a 650MHz single core cpu can host about as many players as you want, and the T2 server has hardly any cpu usage. The most cpu usage is when maps change, and that settles down after the map is loaded and is caused by disk access more than anything…

1. If you are running a server, what operating systems/service packs ARE working for you? I run Windows Server2003 with all packs/updates, but this is irrelevant. Reason why is T2 dedicated server will run just fine on 2k, xp, etc. You do not need a fancy server os to host a T2 server. What is needed is a stable and secure…

go into the mission and see how many bots are tasked with setting sensors, make sure there is only one per team delete the task or reduce the weight level for that task if you want to

the unpacked (non-vl2) map folders go into the base folder, let them overwrite anything they need to or creat new folders
-
Hi First off try here: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?board=8.0 Usualy this issue means you have a firewall/av/net issue keeping you from getting an account. If your trouble persists, I have made accounts for many players, Pm me your email addy and name/pw to use for the account and we can take care of it, but I…

all .vl2 files go into the base folder, if the map is unpacked and in distinct folders, it also will go into the base folder, overwriting anything it needs to

If bandwidth is keeping you from playing online, t2 plays well at dialup speeds. Tribes netcode is legendary for wringing the most out of a connection. Most wifi connections can easily handle full t2 bandwidth (32 packets per second, packet size:450) but dialup will likely play best at 14 packets/sec and 256 size.

First off, I use tribal IDE for all my editing, you may find it usefull as well: http://spinfusor.ch/tribes2/programs/Tribal%20IDE/ Secondly, a scripting tut is a good idea. http://web.archive.org/web/20040519093400/http://scripts.tribes-universe.com/halide/tutorial.html#ch2

Also, placing them where they can cover the desired area and yet be out of the way of incoming spam so they have a chance of lasting more than a few seconds is also a good idea. Try to cover the usual in/out routes with a string of them so the capper has to run a gauntlet of turret fire! MWUHAHAHAHA! GLORIOUS TURRENTS OF…

Hi! Have you opened the game type cs file to make changes directly rather than in serverprefs?
