All maps (or at least, better be all maps) have repair packs somewhere in the open, either in the base or outside. Look for the red glow. Alternately, if someone had a remote invo up, you could get the pack from there. Takes a bit of exploration to find the packs on certain base structures, but I'm certain there's always…

Yeah that one instance where the pilot (or bombardier) was a hostile while the other two were friendlies was hella funny ;D Maybe it was just an arbitrary thing to make the animation look cool, but would anyone know why it takes as long as it does to spawn? Maybe to try and keep things "balanced" by not letting 4 shrikes…
link=topic=426.msg3936#msg3936 date=1233092946] Guys I think this poll is rigged. :o
Nah see the fourth pixel from the left in the "b" of "lob" in the third option is different. You just have to look carefully ;)

My issue for calling out a flag, which almost always is a cry of "I have the enemy flag!", is that... no.. you don't have the enemy flag. It is still safely at their base. I tend to ignore VFF calls if the flag hasn't yet been taken, possibly because I don't spam the enemy flag (I just go for it). On the flip side, if…
link=topic=380.msg3909#msg3909 date=1233087077] No because Tribes players don't care about frags. You can have nine hundred kills in a map but that doesn't mean your team wins.
Hear hear! But watch the splash damage on TD-enabled servers. Fire some discs in the enemy's way, but try not…

*votes #2 just to spite the statistics majors*

It would be evenly spread between the taunts, methinks. Or [VGS Shazbot].

Marking with waypoints is fine and all for knowing where you're going, but you still rely on that little red crosshair to actually make your shot, and because it tracks on the ground, which is generally below the fog line at a safe bombing altitude on Desiccator and others, you can't see the crosshair (or at least I can't)…

First off, I defend a generator by doing my best to make sure no one gets near the base in the first place. I learned from experience that anyone attacking a generator is going to go crazy on the splash damage, effectively nullifying my ability to defend it. I only use mortars when there are no teammates around and/or am…

*lights a candle for Flyingbox's card* Just got off a short run of Desiccator. Now that's a map that needs less fog. Near impossible to bomb right.

WinRAR reports an unexpected end of archive. I can see a directory structure of a Readme and a scripts folder with chaching.cs inside. Can't open chaching.cs, WinRAR reports corrupted.
-
And if the map is "supposed" to be foggy for effect, still increase it... If we need fog to help struggling graphics cards, leave that to the clientside View Distance slider. Please? :)

Should sticky it

And really, if someone doesn't have anything better to do than to crack someone's freely-registered Tribes account, they've got serious issues. I've read that there have been some issues with the 1024-bit generation. I ran mine with 512 and it was done in about 30 seconds.

Just tried it myself. It is the usual archive format, WinRAR opened it, but it is corrupted.

There was a night in the last week or so on Thin Ice, where we had a friendly bomber, with friendly pilot and TG, but enemy bombardier.... who didn't hesitate to bomb his own team. The enemy was either in bombardier or pilot seat, but was still bombing his own side. Something to eject passengers would be nice, especially…

You know, you could open up OP's chaching.vl2 and just replace its sounds ;)

I think he's trying to use that connotation of "liberal". You know, the one that's supposedly an insult within far-right rings. But back to the topic at hand... I've seen a TeamRabbit2 entry in the gametypes list (which I don't have bot support for). Aside from sounding to me like Team Fortress 2, it appears to be a…

"eleetooo"? Or is that meant to be read "elite, ooo /sarcasm" I like the PJ stats that shows my top ten killers and victims, but more the "total" number, which I don't modify (or... know how to...). As the number is going up on its own, I know that I'm actually getting something right.

Why would an experienced player intentionally TK over a vehicle? They should have better things to do with their time. As for spawning etiquette, just don't buy a vehicle you can't use. Heavies should not be buying vehicles and yelling for pilots, nor should players spawn a Havoc and then sit on the pad waiting for riders.…

One of my script packs has a favorites for vehicles, automatically selecting that vehicle when you enter the vpad. Also, as the vehicle is spawning, I move off the pad and to either side, where I wait for it to finish spawning and teleport in. And further, when I get in, I jet up as high as necessary so the pad is cleared.…

Between base and classic, I tend to have a better time on classic, and not just because my experience with base relies on bots. Classic definitely moves a little faster, which is very good for me, because I die early and often, and want to get back to whatever my objective was as fast as possible. Mostly the reason I never…

I highly doubt that. Make an account from a different connection, or wait the 7 days.

I avoid all deathmatch more than I would the plague. Hunters sounds like a fun idea for DM people, but for those of us that prefer CTF and teamwork gametypes, not for us. CTF is where it's at, for me.
-
There was some map we played a night or two ago where the bases were very far apart and had two vpads each (not desert, was dark and icy). I kinda like that idea, since you could load up two Havocs at once, or just one and let the noobs grab their shrikes without TKing vehicles. People need to have some patience when at…

I think in the three weeks or so I've been back on Tribes 2, I've only once heard someone cry killstealer. I usually don't go looking for fights, but if I'm on my way to my current arbitrary objective and see a red triangle, I'll fire something its way, even if it doesn't hit.
-
Well... with the possible exception of if you're kicking our asses. ;)

I don't understand why changing texture options would change your POV, but toggling from the key bind should fix it. Or just don't change your textures while actively in game. Host a private server to test in, then go back into the fray.

If the script comes in a *.vl2 file, it goes in ~/GameData/base/ If the script is just a *.cs, it goes in ~/GameData/base/scripts/autoexec As far as I know, unless it's part of a pack that modifies the autoexec folder for you, no *.cs file goes right into ~/GameData/base/scripts, they go in the autoexec to be loaded. Mods…
