Server UE's at lighting, Dedicated Server UE's right away, Client works fine
Just in case you needed more evidence as to why keeping your server installation separate from your client is a good idea, TracerDX was causing me to be unable to host a map, and I had no clue until Turkeh filled me in.
For me though, I wasn't really hosting, I was just testing out a map, and had no other computer to host on.
I believe Turkeh's words concerning TracerDX were "kill it with fire", but I loves my Tracer so for my server shortcut, I included this line in the batch file:
ren "C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\base\TracerECM3.0.2.vl2" TracerECM3.0.2.vl2.turkehisgreat
and for my client shortcut, I included this line in the batch file:
ren "C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\base\TracerECM3.0.2.vl2.turkehisgreat" TracerECM3.0.2.vl2
