Well, the possibilities are endless. There are many different situations.
Debating over them would be...useless.

I just pointed something to help you against those GL spammers  Tongue

I believe the fuse time its a timer and a double impact. I've never seen a grenade bounce more than 2 times.
And the fuse time has been a trouble for me...I would have scored many MAs with the GL if it was for the fuse time... Embarrassed

Grenades have a big blast radious, they can be spammed easily and they deal out huge DPS.
But they are only effective in medium to medium-long range or as a tactic of surprise buttsecks. (who hasnt died to 2 grenades shot from an enemy that is behind you? lol)

There are many ways to get around them.
Just think about it.

The closer you are to the enemy, the harder it will be for him to hit you with a GL, and if he does damage to you he has probably damaged himself too. (Splash damage)

Grenades have a fuse time,(I don't know how much) and if you are far from the enemy, his grenades will have time to fuse and he will have chance to spam more at you.

Also, take note of the terrain. If the enemy is spamming grenades at you from a hill it will be easier for his grenades to damage you.

Out of energy and you think you will die?
Try to take cover from the terrain (if possible, some maps don't offer that) by hidding yourself behind a little hill or a rock, wait for your energy to regen a bit and attack your enemy again.

Grenades aren't better or worse than other weapons, they just have its uses.

7  TribesNext.com Forums / Strategies and Guides / Re: Juggernaut tips? on: February 25, 2010, 05:56:30 PM
The famous Juggernaut, in groups its a lethal offense to the enemy base... but to do the job you need several skills that you learn by practice methods.
The most basic skill you need is to learn how to conservate energy and to skii with the Juggernaut the best you can.
Route learning or to create one for yourself for the map you want is the most effective thing you can do for getting to the enemy base as fast as possible.
The next step is that you learn how to camp on the base, that includes shield pack experience + indoor tactics to kill the enemy in spawn armor or when there is a Juggernaut protecting the generator/entrace of the base. Avoiding to get blastered to death is very hard, the best you can do is to move alot and kill the enemmy as fast as possible.

My preferred method of spectacular failure is to try a disc-jump for speed boost, except that the enemy defense has just hit me with a disc roughly a nanosecond before I manage to pull it off, thus me ending up splattering myself all over the terrain  Undecided.
happens to me sometimes too  Grin
12  TribesNext.com Forums / Strategies and Guides / Re: Do you ever shoot yourself? on: December 16, 2009, 05:01:12 PM
You should practice it, it becomes very usefull in some times.
Examples:
To chase a enemy flag carrier.
After you grab the enemy flag, i do a disc jump (not a llama grab  Grin) so i can grab more speed and height, making it more difficult for the enemy to kill me (unless they got snipers, that pisses me off  Angry)
Learn to do the timing when you use it, it can become usefull.
Hope this helps you  Grin

Given that the goal is to reduce player visibility, nobody will willingly install it.
Thatīs true, if this hud reduces player visibility/FOV this is useless :/

Update your graphic drivers and delete all your .DSO files in the gamedata folders.
Search a bit more on the forums, that can help you too, there are many threads about UE  C0000005 0000000 here

Glad to see some old T2 players coming back  ; Cool we hope more come here too.
If u want to be on a team (or a tribe) you can search clans here : http://www.teamwarfare.com/
But i recommend you practice some classic (classic is the most played mod now) on some servers like Goon Haven and look for pickup matches.
Good luck on T2 anyways  Wink
