na, this is the normal day-to-day operation of tv tv, the bastard child of tribes

The way to stop the worst of the cheats is to prevent the data the cheats need that is normaly occluded from the client, from getting to the cheating client. If they don't have the data, they can't cheat, and nothing clientside will change that. Unhackable. Is there anything being done in this direction? There's a guy who…

As to shading, there's not a lot in tv, kinda like in t2. You miss out on the fancy water surface effects, and the not-realistic-at-all too-shiny concrete surfaces in many maps, but that's about it. Sure, all the concrete around here is shiny, yours isnt? I had 10 players in my tv server yesterday, and 2 of them were busy…

It will play on an old p4 or athlonxp chip, and a gf4
-
ok so it was like 38 players and 18 servers up last time i ckecked

then why bother?

"The community horribly fucked the remnant of the people who still play T:V." lol yeh all 15 of them

DT has been abandoned by its author for years, and those who are trying to revise dt are pretty much the same folks who cracked dt in the first place. I expect the anticheat in tn will be much more effective than dt ever was.

DMZ: DeMilitarised Zone (named after an idea of restricting soldiers and weapons from a specific area on a contended border) It is a feature in many routers that allows ALL traffic to and from a specific ip address or named system to flow unhindered. All packets sent to that ip or named system are delivered to that system…

What os does your host run?

I have scara, beggars, kata, raindance, and roller installed in my tv server. They were made to scale with their t1/2 heritage. Most folks who play only tv think those classic maps are far too big. They are missing out on an element of tribes that was sacrificed so as to run the shoddy ut engine. TV, great art, poor engine.

nothing is more irritating than the spammer running around inside your base the whole map cloaked and zapping in the back

1. Open a media player but don't play anything on it, then start yuor tirbes2 game 2. Dl frameskippa.cs and set it to 1 or 2 3. ??? 4. Profit!

I'm guessing they (gg) will start the real masters up some day. Tn and the privately owned t1 masters will be secondary and tertiary adjuncts to the primary borg master servers. Glory to the Hive Queen.

Mark F of gg/ia knows about tn, I emailed him about it and that vu might be considering the sale of the tribes ip back before they bought it. You can be sure they know about everything that's going on, and I have heard nothing negative from Mark in regards to it.

I did manage to edit a cg script to work with the laser, and while it worked as expected and very easy to edit, I hate the choppy gameplay that results from said interpolation scripts.
-
you have the boxes, cds, manuals, and coupons for freebies for all the tribes games so far

There are a few gifs around tribes related. One I have is a guy in cardboard medium armor floating down a hill, where he deploys an invo (styrofoam cooler), switches a few toy weapons, and drinks from a bottle from the cooler. One I would like to find again is the guy who made pretty fair heavy armour out of cardboard and…

Apparently my disabling of this service is what caused the error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902196 Enabled and all is well again.

Grab the laser and play. Don't worry about ping, you'll learn soon enough how to adjust for ping. Scripts that remove weapons also remove the ability to see if your muzzle clears the cover you're hiding behind. A script that varies the zoom level for each weapon, and perhaps one that also slows down mouse response when the…
