Unless you aren't using windows...you just double-click the Tribes2_gsi.exe file and it will install from there. If you have somehow acquired a compressed version, we would need to know the file extension (.zip, .7z, .rar, etc) to begin helping you. If you are running Linux or MacOS you will need Wine or similar to run the…

It may be called in the actual game engine instead of script code.

Fixed. :P

I think Foo moved on to other games/real life The [Construction] community has sort of dwindled, so there are fewer servers (and players) :-\

I'd respect his attempt at a "newscast" more if he had managed to complete it in one take... Also...

Nope, no old timers in these parts of the woods. :P

Why don't you ask them for full source or a snazzy update or get them to fix UEs while you're at it..
-
You only have to download a mod to play when said mod contains clientside changes (new HUDs, new textures, new interiors, ...) Simply changing some code for how the server handles something doesn't mean the players have to download it.

The EVOlution admin mod may have that feature, I'm not 100% sure... The version for Classic can be found here:

show(callback) Pass it a string to eval and display (every game tick (32ms) iirc) Examples include:* "$FPS::Real" * "$FPS::Virtual" * "getControlObjectAltitude()" * any other variable/console function you can think of

Doomed to failure. Have you asked Phantom139 for one? He's developing on T3D too! :P Also, stop being a leech and buy/develop your own. :)

If you have concerns about the Goon Haven server I suggest you take them to their forums. Also, since your previous account (TMJ) was deleted (for reasons stated here) I have banned this one.

We do not manage the servers, but if you read The Development Roadmap you would see that anti-cheat is in the works. Also, scripting is part of Tribes 2 and without it TribesNEXT would not exist.

This is beginning to sound like planetside... >_>

There is one in development, see The Development Roadmap.

From a search of the forums, I found this.

Please direct your concerns to the Goon Haven Forums. Moved to General Discussion, because this is not a support concern.

Have you read the FAQs?

Lies! Horrible, horrible lies!! So my 1.2 MP camera is fine? ;) And seriously, who doesn't get at least a meg of cache these days?
-
Enlighten us with the exact steps you used to fix the issue.
-
That is by no means new. Nor is it server support, moved to General Discussion.
-
Moved to support. Please give us the actual error code/message you receive.

I believe Dynamix/Garage Games broke it somewhere along the line. I'm sure somebody could script (or already has) a more robust replacement.
-
I believe you need the weapons.cs file on the client in order to see the various reticles. Otherwise* Make sure you don't have a syntax error in the file. * Post a code snippet

Checked the fun FAQ entry?

The Tribes2GSI.exe installs the latest version of T2, so you don't actually have to patch with anything other than the TribesNext patch.

See the FAQs for a list of DSO removal options.
