unable to view server list

i'm having a problem with my server list.
when i go to the "JOIN" tab, it searches for the servers, but only the favorites show up, however, it says is has pinged the normal number. (it say 48+ but only shows seven)
i have tried all the solutions in the faq, and nothing has changed.
any help would be appreciated.

If you open the console via the ~ key, what does it say after querying the servers?

A screenshot or the exact text from the last few lines would be helpful.
