Connection Problems

Hey guys,
I am having connection problems to the account server. I have patched TribesNext correctly, and whenever i go to "create account" it goes to "step 1: Account Server Status". on this page it then says "The account server is offline or unreachable. Check you network status and try again."

therefore i am unable to create an account.

I have done EVERYTHING on this page: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=464.0
including a complete reinstall and still no luck.

A mate has created an account for me to try to log onto it, and i still could not connect.

Could someone please give me options on what else i could try.

Hi
This is a networking issue on your side. Check all firewalls, routers, and av that may be hindering t2 from talking on the innerwebs.

yeah thats what i figured it was too, however i have enabled access on my firewall, as well as disabling it, makes no difference. I have forwarded all the relevant ports listed on the FAQ link in my previous post, yet no changes.

It is most certainly a client side firewalling issue.

What is your network topology? Firewall, router, modem, switch? What do you have?

yeah i've checked my firewall/ports, i have had issues with other games but simply forwarding the ports usually makes it work.

I use Symantec Client Firewall, and have enabled t2/tribesnext, as well an disabling it and trying to log on.

I run the firewall above, with a gateway (Motorola SBG900 - yes its old but people in Australia know how crappy Telstra Bigpond is). And like i said, usually forwarding the ports fixes this problem as i have done for other games.
