NSIS Error

edited March 2011 in Support
My Tribes 2 stopped working about 3 months ago, I had this problem: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=2056.0
So I completely wiped my computer of anything tribes2 and reinstalled(fixing the above problem).
Now when I double click on the TribesNext patch, this comes up.

What do I do?

edit: I have been using the FileFront mirror for the Tribes 2 download.

  • The error is just what it means. NSIS is a installer software used to package the TribesNext patch. The installer has a built in hash checker to make sure the file downloaded is 100% downloaded and not missing any data or has no malformed data. Download the patch again and check it against the md5 sum to make sure it was downloaded successfully.
  • NSIS is Nullsoft's scriptable installer system, which is what the TribesNext patch uses for applying changes to Tribes 2. Redownload the 2 MB patch from our site's download section.

You can verify the MD5 of your GSI installation as equal to the one described in this post: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=721.0, but the GSI doesn't use NSIS, so it shouldn't be the source of your problem.
