Hi all,
does anyone know a good script that produces a small map on the hud, much like the command center map but without entering the command screen (and become paralized).

Just a few little but IMPORTANT facts that can make life much easier in tribes 2.

I: Deploy LANDSPIKE turrets on the flattest surface possible, OTHERWISE they will NOT HIT A DAMN THING.
Hojou42 actually made a video about it, standing in front of wrongly placed turrets that are failing to hit him:

II. In the annoying case if an enemy steals the Jericho, DONT GO CRAZY SHOOTING AT the vehicle, grab your CHAINGUN, and facing the vehicle's front side aim slightly above the enemy driver's head. You will be able to kill him in his seat. The same goes for the Bomber and the Tank: a tailgunner can kill an enemy in the pilot/bomber seat using the same method.

III. Once you updated the Jericho turret with plasma/AA turret barrel, it will be remembered. So if you are planning to go for a trip in a Jericho, FIRST OF ALL UPGRADE the turret to plasma. In the annoying event if someone attacks you, you can just jump out of the vehicle and after a few moments the enemy will have to face a plasma turret.

IV. There actually is a teleport station at every vehicle pad. It is a small circle near the vPad ramp and it teleports you immediately near the deployed Jericho. Use it sometimes, it can be fun.

I ve downloaded the latest clientside mod, but still have the reticle issue. Also, when maps are loading it says i have mismatched version...

here is the list of the scripts I use, the only guess I have is that there is a compatibility issue with one of these - I have no idea with which one, though...

I am using the HalDeployer script, which basically is an indicator around the crosshair which indicates whether or not the place is valid for asset deployment.
The interesting thing is how the indicator is visible even in 3rd person view, serving as a kind of a crosshair.

the problem is, it only appears when I have a deployable pack. My question is: are there any decent 3rd person crosshair script (at least for vehicles)

ps.: it appeared to me using the script that using the head as crosshair in 3rd person can be quite misleading sometimes. The head actually moves, and this can be disturbing when using it as a crosshair...

Just tried it. Its a fun mod, has some annoying features like the various laser weapons, but enjoyable overall.

My only problem is that I cannot see the crosshair when using the mod based veapons of vehicles... most likely some script issue, but if there is any way aruond this, I would play the mod more often.

I began posting to the forum once again after a long time, but for some reason almost every time I am trying to post, I receive a
"Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message." - error.

The only way to post was to delete cookies/active logins (firefox - did not worked in chrome), and try to post again. But it's a bit annoying. What could be the problem?

Im searching for the kind of reticles for vehicles which looked like if there were a barometer in the HUD, it wasnt really a barometer just guidelines but it helped a lot navigating.
I had them once but my hard disk have failed and now I lost all my tribes 2 scripts&costumizations Sad

if anyone could help me with this...

The strange thing is how I hear sounds in game sometimes that I surely did not installed. (voicespam?) how does that work then?

if I were to replace the original voicepack of, let's say, the bot voice on my computer with my custom creations, would other players hear my version of the voice - or the one they have on their computers?
I also noticed that the basic bot voicepack is missing 3 sounds (woohoo, help and my fault), so if I made the 3 missing voices and put them in the respective directory - well, my question again is, would other players hear it if they did not have the files I had?

Sensor Jammer is useless. I personally always pick Ammo pack for one very good reason, FLARES!!!

Well, missile turrets an AA turrets can cause quite a trouble on some maps, in which case a Sensor Jammer comes quite handy. As for flares - the pilot or the bombardier can always toss ammo to the tailgunner, and thats a much faster process than repairing the vehicle on the ground. Furthermore, the midair repair ability came quite handy in many times, especially when being AA/chaingunned, not to mention that it, again, saves a lots of time, which is quite important cuz collecting crew for the TSW is most often a pain...

I for one think that T:V has quite as good graphics as T:A, and the gameplay is even better. I really loved the flowers in T:V. Yeah. May be a silly thing, but T:V had some really immersing and beautiful maps. Like Emerald, for example. But the vehicle system +general gameplay went bad in both, so I ll just stick with tribes 2 for a while.

Omg its a pretty decent game! wouldn't say that it exceeds t2 in any way though... Except for maneuverability, perhaps... dont like how the spinfusor is animated. But it certainly has a potential in it, no doubt
