Hmm. Something like that was going on with nvidia cards some time back that was fixed with a driver, the g80 cores seemed to suffer from it when they first came along. Also, try playing without the game music and see if it's any better. And set the affinity; a 4 holer will surely have more thread and cache thrashing issues…

Ahh but q3 and the rest lack the gameplay of t1. They lack the kilometers of open terrain, the jet packs, and kryand.

Well, two different apis. D3d is often slower in apps coded primarily opengl, which t2 is, let alone taking two lines of code in d3d to do what is done in one in opengl. What settings are enabled, aa, af, etc? Are they the same in each api? Way I look at it is if you play d3d mostly, run ati, if opengl, nvidia.

Actually, they should finish what they started. Just because vu made a mess of tv doesn't mean they should use that as an excuse. But whatever.

I think they will eventualy enable the original masters and accounts as far as t1 and t2 goes, and have the ia tribes game as well. If gg does anything with tribes ip in the future I doubt if they would do it to the detriment of the originals in the series.

If you have a firewall enabled on the server it is rational to place the server in the dmz. If you don't have a firewall enabled in your server, placing it in a dmz is not rational.
