The issue you posted does sound like the "No servers show up" issue that we've seen a lot of... If it is different, how about you post how you fixed it for future reference?
-
Saw it on the list, assuming I'd be able to connect... Still no. You do have a webserver setup, right?
-
Add "-serverprefs prefs/myServerPrefs.cs" to the command-line launch parameters (obviously replace prefs/myServerPrefs with whatever file you're using). And most people switch ports for multi-server setups.
-
No connection via your IP either Likely causes:* Need to forward port 80 through your router * Need to add a firewall exception for your httpd * Need an httpd
-
"Page not found - connection failure"
-
Perhaps it's an issue with the changes you made to the map, or the bots, or an adverse reaction to scripts (cheats)
-
You shouldn't see the old sierra update unless the patch failed to properly install... Try reinstalling the patch. Also, moved to Support.
-
When it's done. You could look through the Development Roadmap for information on upcoming features...
-
Quick search of the forums (they have that nifty feature!) reveals: glon32.dr7 (Installation Error)

this: http://xfer1.the-construct.net/tribes2/flatlandpack.vl2? Otherwise browsing through http://xfer1.the-construct.net/tribes2/ might help...
-
Agreed. :)
-
The .vl2 files are actually zip files with a different extension.
-
Wine and RC2 (at current) do not agree with each other, it's a known issue.
-
The forums have a built-in RSS feed, if you really want to stay connected :P http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml
-
Kryand, that was actually made by Rain, not the TribesNext group... Bradan, the main difference between t2.plugh.us and TribesNext would be the user accounts and upcoming community features (clans/t-mail/browser) revival.
-
Most AntiVirus software isn't actually disabled unless you uninstall it (they tend to keep a process or two that respawn)...
-
Yes, but at current there is no TribesNext solution for the native Linux version of Tribes 2.
-
Out of curiosity, how is the theme of these forums hard on the eyes? I think it works well, to be honest...

Shrike: Missiles/Rockets, Mitzi :P Thundersword: Mortars!, Rapid Fire Rockets, Flak, Nukes :D
-
I'd suggest trying RC1e, as RC2 is known to (at current) have issues with Wine/Crossover...

Solitaire, FreeCell

Launching with -nologin and clicking the "LAN Game" tab doesn't crash me...
-
Where to begin... I started playing StarSiege after being prodded by a couple friends in junior high, somewhere around '99. I discovered Tribes (it was a bundle pack) shortly thereafter, and thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay (base and mods). Then along came Tribes 2, though I didn't get to play much due to parental…

Has this died? Were there awards? News/Updates would be nice... :P
-
I can't believe this fell to page 5!

LAN servers have never recognized admin/superadmin status from the serverprefs.cs file, as there isn't a GUID associated with LAN connections (only exclusion would be an alternative authentication system like TCMS, etc). Use the AdminHUD or SAD() console function to login as a superadmin...
-
Yes and no. You can't change the name in the public/private .store files. However, the Community server will let you have an "altered" name as long as it is up. I think Thyth has covered this in more detail somewhere else...
-
Would never happen... Thyth has mentioned several times already that he has no intentions of burdening the patch with anything other than the necessary files to permit TribesNexts functionality. Perhaps you could create a community bundle and ask Krash for hosting, or it might be something you could push through the…
